THE BARISTA DAYS..
In 2015, between architecture school, interning, and wedding planning, our co-founder mama found herself waking up at 4am to work the opening shift at a pour over only, native SF coffee shop chain. As crazy as it sounds, she had a disposition for getting up that early to sling coffees to the half asleep, half awake, early bird SoMa San Franciscans. Looking forward to seeing the regulars with their quirky orders and unbelievable life stories (or the rare gem that just wants it black), working the bar running on pure caffeine fumes and laughs with your fellow baristas, and the wildly diverse community that a coffee shop, or better yet, just coffee, forms. These just brush the surface of the long list of reasons why Lilian knew she would someday get involved in the coffee industry. She was hooked and spent the next few years researching, learning, jotting down notes and ideas for what would become Altitude. As a designer, Lilian is a certified LEED Green Associate. She has always been passionate about sustainable design, but she believes sustainability principles can be applied to the way we live and conduct business as well. This comes full circle in Lilian and Jeff's affinity for the outdoors and camper's code: "Leave No Trace". You pack in and pack out. You leave your basecamp better than you found it. All of these guiding principles together have laid the foundation for what's to come.
Currently, a Project Developer for Codeology and a Design Consultant for Berkeley Innovation on campus at UC Berkeley, studying Cognitive Science. Kamille's experience includes consulting for a Fortune 500 company and participation in the Google Computer Science Summer Institute. Fun fact, she has been a dancer all her life, and has performed ballet, contemporary, and hip hop, just to name a few. She comes to us with a fresh perspective on UI/UX design, and a passion for coffee.
A Bay Area native that is an entrepreneur at heart and jack of all trades with over a decade long tenure in the retail and tech industries. His background focuses on management and business development, adept to agile, start-up, or corporate work environments. Off the clock he's most likely camping with the family, off-roading, or working on the next DIY home project.
Along with her experience in architecture and construction, Lilian has helped a handful of small businesses grow their teams and communities in various industries, from restaurant to retail. She has a passion for bringing ideas in pen and paper to life (kind of like a building getting built from drawings), and believes that our clients and customers are always front and center in everything we do.
